The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) invites applications for following posts in Government Ayurveda College, Haridwar in Medical and Medical Education Department of Government of Uttarakhand :
Principal : 01 post
Professor : 08 posts in various Ayurveda Subjects
Reader : 08 posts in various Ayurveda Subjects

General Instructions:
1. The State of Uttarakhand came into existence on 09 th November, 2000under the Reorganization of Uttar Pradesh Act 2000. The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission was Constituted under the provisions of the Article 315 of the Constitution of India by the Governor of Uttarakhand
2. The following are the Constitutional powers of Constitution of India of the Commission:Article relating to Public Service Commission 315PublicServiceCommission for the Union and for the State
3. References in this constitution to the Union Public Service Commission r a State Public Service Commission shall, unless the context otherwise requires, be construed as references to the Commission serving the needs of the Union
4. If the office of the Chairman of the Commission becomes vacant or if any such Chairman is by reason of absence or for any other reason unable to perform the duties of his office,
5. A Member of a Public Service Commission shall hold office for a term of six years from the date on which he enters upon his office or until he attains, in the case of the Union Commission,
6. Subject to the provisions of clause(3), the Chairman or any other member of a Public Service Commission shall only be removed from his office by order of the president on the ground of misbehavior after the Supreme Court,
7. engages during his term of office in any paid employment outside the duties of his office; is, in the opinion of the President, unfit to continue in office by reason
8. make provision with respect to the number of Members of the staff ofthe Commission and their conditions of service:Provided that the conditions of service
9. Member other than the Chairman of the Union Public Service Commission shall be eligible for appointment as the Chairman of the Union Public Service Commission
10. It shall be the duty of the Union and the State Public Service Commissions to conduct examinations, for appointments to the Services of the Union and the Services of the State respectively.

The State of Uttarakhand came into existence on 09th November, 2000 under the Reorganisation of Uttar Pradesh Act 2000. The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission was Constituted under the provisions of the Article 315 of the Constitution of India by the Governor of Uttarakhand vide Notification No. 247/1-Karmik-2001 dated 14th March, 2001. At present the strength of the Commission is the Chairman & the four Members.The working of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission is regulated by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission Procedure and Conduct of Business Rule-2007{Framed by the Lok sewa Ayog Uttarakhand under section 11 of U.P. State Lok sewa Ayog(Prakriya ka viniyaman) Adhiniyam, 1985 Uttarakhand Anukulan awam Upantaran Adesh, 2002.}Article relating to Public Service Commission 315-Public Service Commission for the Union and for the State-Subject to the provisions of this Article, there shall be a Public Service Commission for the Union and a Public Service Commission for each State.
