Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for 01(ONE) POST OF LOWER DIVISION CLERK reserved for MERITORIOUS SPORTSMAN on prescribed application form.

Name of the post : Lower division clerk : 01
Age limits : 18 to 32 years for General (Meritorious Sportsman)

Essential Qualification : 12th Class or equivalent qualification from any recognized Board or University
Desirable : Basic knowledge of Computer
Note : It is not necessary that the Sportsperson should qualify in typing test before appointment as Clerk. But after appointment, he should qualify in the typing test conducted by the Department.

Pay Scale : Pay Band-1, Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-, other allowances as admissible under Central Govt rules.
Games /Sports which qualify for consideration : Volley ball, Kabaddi, Carrom, Badminton and Table Tennis

ii) Applications typed or hand written giving the details as per enclosed application format alongwith photographs and attested copies of all certificates addressed to “The Controller,Controllerate of Quality Assurance (Weapons),Post-GCF,JABALPUR – 482 011 (MP)” must reach by last date for receipt
iii) The envelope containing the application must be superscribed in bold letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF LOWER DIVISION CLERK RESERVED FOR MERITORIOUS SPORTSMAN”
General Instructions:
1 The selection process will involve field trials to ascertain the playing capability of the eligible candidate followed by interview and Medical Fitness.
2 Meritorious Sportsman – who has represented (in any game / sports as mentioned above) – (a) a State or the Country in the National or International Competition,
3 Applications typed or hand written giving the details as per enclosed application format along with photographs and attested copies of all certificates addressed to “The Controller, Controllerate of Quality Assurance (Weapons), Post-GCF, JABALPUR – 482 011 (MP)” must reach by last date for receipt
4. A recent passport size photograph should be affixed at the marked place in the application and attested by Gazetted Officer. One additional copy of photograph should be sent along with the application duly affixed and attested by Gazetted Officer on proforma of Admit Card (specimen given below).
5. Candidates should submit their applications along with attested single copy only each of certificates of (a) Age proof (b) Educational Qualification – supported by appropriate Mark-sheets/Certificates, (c) Sports Certificates (d) Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC (OBC Certificate – inclusive of Non-Creamy layer status).
6. The serving candidates should apply through proper channel along with NOC from their Head of Office.
7 The envelope containing the application must be superscribed in bold letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF LOWER DIVISION CLERK RESERVED FOR MERITORIOUS SPORTSMAN”
8. Incomplete /incorrect/unsigned/late received applications will be rejected without any further intimation.

About the organization:
The Directorate of Advertising & Visual Publicity (DAVP) is the nodal agency to undertake multi-media advertising and publicity for various Ministries and Departments of Government of India. Some of the Autonomous Bodies also route their advertisements through DAVP. As a service agency, it endeavours to communicate at grass roots level on behalf of various Central Government Ministries.The origin of DAVP can be traced to the times of World War-II. Immediately after the out-break of Second World War, the erstwhile government of India appointed a Chief Press Advisor. Besides other things, advertising was also the responsibility of the Chief Press Advisor. A post of Advertising Consultant was created in June 1941 under the Chief Press Advisor. This is where DAVP has its roots. On March 1, 1942, the Advertising Consultant Office became the Advertising Branch of the Department of Information & Broadcasting. Following the expansion in its scope, functions and activities, this Advertising unit was declared an Attached Office of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting on October 1, 1955. The office also assumed the name of Directorate of Advertising & Visual Publicity(DAVP).
