Applications are invited from the candidates who are Domicile of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura for the post of Junior Assistant (Fire Service) NE – 4 at various airports in the above states in North – Eastern Region

Name of the post :Junior Assistant (Fire Services) : 50
Age : 30 years as on 31-12-2012
Pay Scale : 12500 – 28500/- and other allowances as per AAI rules

Educational Qualification :
a) 10th Pass + 3 years’ approved regular Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Fire with minimum 50% marks; OR
b) 12th Pass (Regular Study) with 50% marks

Desirable :
Due weightage shall be given to a candidate possessing any one or more (subject to maximum limit of the following);
a) Computer Science as subject at 12th class level
b) NCC ‘B’ Certificate;
c) Relevant experience in aviation/regular/industrial fire service.
d) Basic Fire Fighting Training course from AAI Fire Training Establishment;
e) Sub Fire Officer Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur.

Physical Fitness :
Eye sight :
Distance vision : 6/6 at both eyes without glasses.
Near vision : N-5 in both eyes without glasses.
Colour vision : should be normal as determined by Ischihara’s Charts.
Height : Not less than 167 cm.
Chest : 81 cms normal before expansion. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
Weight : Not less than 55 kg
Hearing : Normal
Speech : Normal

Fee : Demand Draft of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One hundred only) (non – refundable) drawn in favour of Airports Authority of India, payable at Guwahati

ii) Candidates fulfilling the above conditions may submit their application in Hindi/English toTHE REGIONAL EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR,AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA,NORTH – EASTERN REGION,LGBI AIRPORT, GUWAHATI,ASSAM(the envelope should be superscripted by the name of the post applied for) alongwith a Demand Draft.
General Instructions:
1 Appointment to above mentioned posts are subject to fulfilling eligibility conditions and successfullypassing of Basic Training Course for a period of four months.
2 During training, incumbent is entitled for stipend as per rules.
3 The candidates will have to appear for test/interview at their own expenses. Only those candidates whoqualify in the written exam will be allowed to appear in physical measurement test.
4 The eligibility with regards to age, qualification, driving license, etc. Will be determined as on 31-12-2012.
5 Employees of Govt./Public Sector undertaking should forward the application through proper channel.
6 Canvassing in any manner and bringing outside influence shall make the candidature liable for rejection.
7 The authority reserves the right to restrict the number & candidates to be called for test / interview on thebasis of any other norms decided by the authority at a later date.
8 The management reserves the right / has the discretion not to fill any vacancy and to change the vacancyposition depending upon the requirement.
9 Applications received after due date and incomplete applications shall be summarily liable to be rejected.Candidates should be a domicile of Sikkim.
10. The eligibility with respect to age, experience, etc. will be determined as on 30.09.2011.SC/ST/OBC candidates who apply against the UR vacancy will not be eligible for Age Relaxations.
